Local teenage sisters have written a song for the homeless after feeling deeply saddened by the recent death of a homeless man. ‘ Help Me Please! ’ will be released for sale on Monday 13th March 2017 to raise money for homeless charity The Whitechapel Centre.
Emily Perry who is 14 years old and sister Lucy Perry, 15, have been involved in music and helping others for most of their lives and decided to write their song titled ‘ Help Me Please! ’ after a man who was sleeping rough passed away recently. They decided that using their musical talents was the best way alert people to the problem of homelessness and to go about raising some money which they will donate to The Whitechapel Centre who work with people at risk of or experiencing homelessness.

Verse 1

I see a man over there and he's in his underwear
and I'm thankful for the clothes I wear.
He is begging on his knees for someone who can keep
him warm from the cold night air.

Chorus

He says " Help me please I'm in misery,
I need somebody's help today."
He is on his knees but nobody see's
how this could be the end of his days.

He asked a woman over there "if she had any spare,"
but she just didn't even care.
She just carried on by with Primark in her eye,
And met up with her friends by there.

It's a cold December's night
and nobody noticed this poor man pass away.
He was laying on the ground, Til somebody found
his body laying in the way.

He was on his knees but nobody seen
him slowly, sadly pass away!
